Licensing

DynaPDF is licensed per developer workplace. The number of end users or whether DynaPDF is used on client or server systems is irrelevant for the calculation of the license fee. A developer workplace refers to a person and not to the number of computer systems on which he or she is working on.

The delivery of DynaPDF is royalty-free, so there are no additional license fee, regardless of whether DynaPDF is linked statically or dynamically. Each DynaPDF license includes one year of free software maintenance. Maintenance includes minor and major updates. Therefore, your license key works with all versions that are published within the maintenance period, even if the major version has been increased in the meantime.

The maintenance fee is 15% of the license price including all options per year. Maintenance can be ordered up to 5 years in advance. In this case, you will receive additional discounts, depending on the chosen term. Maintenance can be renewed within two years after expiration at no extra charge.

Customers with a maintenance agreement receive a license key that never expires. Therefore, the license key does not have to be changed every time the maintenance is renewed. Of course, all licenses have no limited term or the like. Software maintenance refers to updates and does not limit the license term.

After the maintenance has expired, the license key no longer works with newer versions that are released after the expiration date, but it still works with all previous versions. In addition to normal software maintenance, there are also service levels available that you can use to prioritize troubleshooting.

Smaller bugs in particular are usually bundled and fixed in the next regular update run. This is different for customers with a service level agreement. Their errors are always treated with the highest priority, regardless of whether it is a minor issue or a serious error. The error or errors must also be fixed in a certain time, for example within 6 or 8 days. This allows you to better plan your own updates and know in advance when a fix will be available.
